To celebrate the end of a long, cold Canadian winter, we partnered with SharkNinja and Amazon Music to kick off the summer season with a '70s throwback-style barbecue activation in the heart of both Toronto and Montreal during June 2024—showcasing Ninja’s incredible selection of products like smokers/grills, ovens, state-of-the-art coolers, misting fans, hand-held blenders and insulated bottles for carbonated drinks.
Developed in partnership with Horizon Media, the aptly-titled Ninja Grill Jam took place at Toronto’s high-footfall Harbourfront and Montreal’s popular Festival sur le Canal—both strategically located in proximity to outdoor parks and condo buildings, where full-sized barbecuing is not allowed on individual balconies.
Taking place over the course of one day at each sunny, summer location, the delicious (and incredibly photo-worthy) Ninja Grill Jam was accompanied by an eye-catching, fully-branded converted school bus, which featured a rooftop DJ spinning the hottest summer hits and a fun and relaxing interior VIP lounge for onsite influencers.
Consisting of multiple cook stations serving up free, mouthwatering BBQ dishes and non-alcoholic beverages to thousands of participants, the Grill Jam was also outfitted with picnic tables, benches, branded tents, branded tablecloths, and playful string lighting to accentuate the fun outdoor nostalgia of the activation.
Paired with plenty of exciting Ninja giveaways and prizes won, the Ninja Grill Jam was a flavour-packed success in both cities.
