As another NHL playoff season began, Sportsnet tapped Eat It Up Media, in collaboration with Novus and Hearts & Science, to build upon hockey fans’ palpable excitement by creating a massive 22-foot replica of the iconic Stanley Cup in Toronto.
Placed outside of Union Station (which boasts 300,000 daily passengers), the Sportsnet-branded cup was constructed in time for the Toronto Maple Leafs’ series opener—inviting the thousands of hockey fans passing by the installation en route to the Scotiabank Arena (or the Hockey Hall of Fame) to pose with and take photos of the eye-catching build.
The Stanley Cup replica also lit up after dark, serving as a beacon for hockey fans across the city.
